Help Tynan afford Trans healthcare: HRT & Laser hair removal
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Tynan.
I'm a 36 year old Trans Woman. I've been on Hormones for 8 months now. I'm an unemployed Chemist and live in a rural area. Due to my low income I can no longer afford my HRT (Estrogen and Testosterone Blockers) and my Laser Hair Removal. My main source of dysphoria comes from my facial and body hair, so Laser is very important for maintaining my well being, but because I live in a rural area there are very few options for LGBTQ friendly Laser Hair Removal shops, and unfortunately this means that where I live Laser costs a lot of money.
My only source of income comes from self employment tech support in a very rural area and a small amount of money I earn from blogging. This amounts to only a few hundred dollars a month. I have about $150 in bills per month, and my HRT costs $150 a month and laser can cost $200-400 per session, per area every 5 weeks. Because of this, its impossible for me to pay for my necessary gender affirming care without losing $200-300 a month, which risks me draining my whole bank account if I can't get a high paying job relatively soon. This is also just the cost of 1 area with Laser. I have a lot of body hair, and I cannot afford anything other than my face without financial help. I'd ideally like to at least work on my face, arms and legs at the same time, but just those 3 would cost me at least $700-800 a month; which is financially way out of reach.
Any help would really be appreciated. This area is so rural with so few jobs, that I can't think of any other way to make hundreds of dollars more every month, and it would break my heart if I had to stop laser indefinitely.
