Typhoon aftermath : Help with PH Typhoon Kristine relief

Hi all! My name is Marie and I grew up in the Philippines, in a city dubbed as “an maogmang lugar” (the happy place) - Naga City, Bicol. Our region was hit by typhoon Kristine. Because Bicol is located within the typhoon belt, we are no stranger to calamities. We make our best to prepare and we pride ourselves on being resilient. But sometimes we do have some that are truly devastating. This particular one brought with it heavy and nonstop rainfall that resulted in severe flooding, something we have not seen since 1995.

Yesterday my feed was filled with posts of rescue pleads for people, animals, and families. It was heart wrenching to see updates of a lot of people trapped in the rooftops of their own homes.

Being so far away from home, we feel helpless. And all we can do was have them in our thoughts and prayers. And perhaps think of what we can do to help with what comes after.

The floodwaters have washed away more than just possessions—many have lost their livelihoods, access to clean water, food, and basic necessities. Entire communities were submerged in floodwater leaving them in urgent need of assistance.

We create this crowdfunding initiative to help with the aftermath. We figured this an easier way to consolidate donations from those living in the UK.

All funds will go to Typhoon Kristine victims to help distribute food and clean water, and other essential items and with rebuilding communities.

Every contribution, no matter how small, makes a difference in restoring hope and helping these communities get back on their feet. Together, we can rebuild lives and bring relief to those in need.
