My heart breaks to see the devastation Typhoon Kristine has brought to my hometown in Bicol and the suffering it has left behind for so many of my fellow Filipinos. For the first time in my memory, floodwaters rose to unimaginable levels, reaching rooftops and beyond, causing massive damage to homes, livelihoods, and heartbreakingly, taking lives.
Right now, countless families are displaced, with many seeking refuge in crowded shelters that are in urgent need of food, clean water, medical supplies, and other essentials. Government resources are stretched thin, and as much as I want to help, my personal means feel small against the scale of this crisis. Yet, I cannot stand by and watch this pain without doing everything I can.
I am humbly reaching out, asking for your generous support. Any contribution will make a difference in easing the suffering of these families and helping them rebuild their lives. Together, we can bring hope to those who have lost so much.
How will your donation help?
With your help we can:
- Buy sacks of rice (to be re-packed and distributed to victims);
- Buy canned goods;
- Organise and mobilise friends on the ground to cook, pack, and distribute hot meals as some victim's homes are still submerged underwater.
Your donations will be accounted for and money used to buy goods for this donation drive will be posted in transparency reports.
