Philippine disaster and poverty relief efforts

This past June 2022, my family and I traveled to the Philippines and partnered with New Life Community Care Foundation Intl’l Inc. (NLCOM), to respond and reach out to the victims devastated by Typhoon Megi in Bay Bay, Leyte.

Thank you for your generosity and your response to this GoFundMe effort. With your help, we were able to distribute over 465 relief bags per family; provided psychological relief to 100 adults and almost 200 kids. In addition, 460k cash was provided directly to families in that area. We were also able to feed 600 children in the City of Tondo, Manila.

Currently, NLCOM is leading a weekly feeding program with Metro World Child. They are feeding a total of almost 2,000 kids from Tondo, Navotas, Alabang and Las Pinas area every Saturday.

Moving forward, we are still in need of assistance to help with the different programs of NLCOM. Recently, Super Typhoon Noru hit the Philippines. NLCOM is working on some rebuilding efforts to help victims in Nueva Ecija area. And as for our family, we are currently fundraising for our March 2023 return trip to the Philippines for Outreach Part 2 to further help those in need.
