Typhoon Relief for Craig Corp and Family
Donation protected
This fundraiser is to support Craig Corp (father of Dani Burmark) and his family recover from the typhoon that recently ravaged the Phillipines. Craig and family live on a very small island which hasn't had electricity or running water since the storm came through. They are currently walking buckets of water over from a neighbor's house due to the damage to their well.
The Typhoon damaged pretty much every part of their home and outbuildings. Craig himself almost died as a pole came flying through his bedroom sliding glass door just as he was leaving the room (see picture). Luckily, everyone survived and was evacuated from the island by the coast guard. The damage they have returned to is extensive and demoralizing. Craig spent his life savings building this house and was supposed to start getting some retirement income by Airbnbing some of the rooms. As soon as the house was ready to start renting, COVID struck and they haven't had any renters since.
The pandemic and typhoon have put Craig and family in a tough situation. They were already just making it by because of the pandemic and now the typhoon has leveled the one asset they had left, the house. While Craig's wife Nits focuses on helping the island recover (she is the 'mayor' of their island) we are trying to do something to help their family build back and get back on their feet.
Thank you for donating whatever you can during this hard time!
