Typhoon Relief Philippines (TRP)

Dear friends and concerned fellow humans,

 

As you may know, the Central Philippines has been hit on 16/17 December by the Super-Typhoon 'Ray' also named 'Odette' with windforces over 240 km/h. Many people lost their homes, food, belonging as well as crops and fruittrees. Power and telephone lines are damaged with over 4.000 victims in the Pamplona region alone. Most affected are poor. 

 

Typhoon Relief Philippines (TRP) aims to provide relief and rehabilitation of victims of the typhoon. The relief is coordinated and implemented with village representatives. The initial focus is on the region of Pamplona, Negros Oriental, Visayas, which was central in the course of the destructive typhoon.

Clearing the debris and rebuilding a home will take minimally 3 months. TRP wants to help the most affected people to overcome this critical period by providing food, basic essentials and building material, especially roofing sheets, timber, nails and cement. Cost of rice, tins of fish/ meat, oil, sugar, soap, water and building material  are estimated at 500 Euro/ household.

TRP wants to support initially 400 prioritised households with documented damage for which a  target amount of 20.000 Euro is set. Your support is highly appreciated and please also share this with friends, family and colleagues.
