Typhoon Vamco - AMS Appeal
Donation protected
Typhoon Vamco impacted the Philippines on Thursday 12th November, with torrential rains and flooding.
“One AMS” is a term you will all be familiar with, coming together to provide support during challenging times, whether business related or in our lives outside of work, is part of our culture. We would therefore like to support these colleagues and their families to restore some of the loss and damage that has been caused.
We are aware of 10 colleagues who have been seriously impacted by flood damage and have set a target of GBP 1000 each. To put this in context, your support will help them to replace household items like a washing machines, dining tables, fridge/freezers, couches, televisions or be put toward more extensive repairs to the physical structures.
Ahead of AMS Citizenship Day on Thursday 19th November, and in the spirit of this year’s theme “ONE - Opportunity Needs Everyone”, we ask you to give what you are able to, to support our colleagues in their time of need.
Further Information About This Fundraiser
My name is Tara Knobel and I am Managing Director, Client Services for Alexander Mann Solutions in the APAC region. I am based in Melbourne Australia. Prior to this role I led Operations for the region, and had direct responsibility for the Manila GCSC. In the three years I worked directly with the team, I came to know the strength, dedication and resilience of the Manila team and am proud to call them not just colleagues, but friends and family.
This fundraising effort has been approved by Ruth Smyth, Chief People Officer for Alexander Mann Solutions and will benefit 10 colleagues who have been seriously impacted by recent flooding in Manila, Philippines.
Once money is withdrawn from the fundraiser, all funds raised will be transferred to Kevin Urrutia, our Manila GCSC leader, who will then ensure that the money is distributed as quickly as possible. We have set up a small management team to agree the equitable and transparent distribution of funds:
- Tara Knobel (Managing Director, Client Services APAC)
- Rebecca Dakin (Head of HR APAC)
- Kevin Urrutia (Head of Manila GCSC)
- Patricia Sianghio (HRBP, Manila)
All funds raised and distributed will be tracked and be 100% auditable on request.
