Tyrique White's Memorial Fund

Tyrique White was a senior student, class of 2016, at HD Woodson SHS in Washington, DC. Known by his classmates and friends as "Rico" or "Big Riq,"  Tyrique was a beloved member of the HD Woodson community. An intern, athlete, friend, and scholar, Tyrique was the epitome of a Woodson Warrior. Tyrique was selected as an intern for the Competitive Employment Opportunity internship program and played on the HD Woodson football and baseball teams. He always put his future and education first. A culinary and musical artist, Tyrique had a command of the creative arts that reflected his optimistic outlook on life and flavorful personality. With a smile that was contagious and a sense of humor to match, Tyrique's energy and presence were unparalleled.

Tyrique was heading off to Lincoln University in Philadelphia, PA this Fall to pursue a degree in music or social work, while playing baseball as a student athlete. Tyrique's life was tragically taken on Sunday, June 5, 2016, just days before his high school graduation. He will be greatly missed.
