In Memory Of Tyrone Alexander
Donation protected
Tyrone Alexander was well known to many in Canterbury and further afield having done a variety of different roles covering all sectors of Society. Police Officer, Nurse, Bank Manager, Model, CPS caseworker, TeachIng Assistant Starting the Anger Management Department, Volunteer for the Crown Court Witness Service, Volunteer at Probation Service, Age UK Volunteer, Hospital Volunteer. He was a Licensee and ran the First Gay Bar in Canterbury. He also worked in retail in a huge number of roles such as Next, and John Lewis Partnership Trust. Again I reiterate he covered every sector of society and in his last year volunteered at Canterbury Baptist Church helping the disenfranchised giving out food parcels and helping hundreds of people with applications for support for their Benefits.
He appeared on Blind Date in the 1990s even heading to Lapland With Amanda Holden for the 1991 Christmas Special. During the Christmas Special right at the end Cilla asked that he sat next to her as she loved him so much.
He gave his heart and soul to everyone he met - volunteering relentlessly throughout his Life giving so much to so many people on a daily basis.
This Go Fund Me Page is to raise funds for the Canterbury Umbrella Centre as their funding was recently cut. The Umbrella Centre is a place that many people can go to who suffer with Mental Health issues for support and assistance.
The Umbrella Centre was a place where Tyrone felt safe and could 'be'. simply just sitting and talking to the staff in a safe and secure environment.
Mental Health effects all of us and Tyrone was very open about his Mental Health and discussed it openly with others.
This Go Fund Me will also be to get a memorial Bench with Plaque inscription to be placed at the Umbrella Centre and to support his sister with the background costs of the funeral arrangements.
You can donate anonymously - thankyou so much everyone every penny helps.
He gave so much to so many over his life - the number of people who he knew was simply astonishing. Now lets all give him the best send off humanly possible.
The Funeral will be an intensely private event for family only - the memorial Service however will be gigantic and will be held at Canterbury Baptist Church on Saturday 7th September 1030AM
Thankyou so much xxxx
