Dear friends and family,
I am writing to you today to inform you about the loss of Tyrone Taylor lll. Tyrone passed away unexpectedly on October 21st, 2022. The Wake will be held at Kelsey Funeral Home at 217 T E White Sr Drive Albemarle NC 28001 on November 4th, 2022 at 1pm-4pm. The funeral service will be held at Parkers Grove Baptist Church New London, NC on Saturday November 5th, 2022 at 1pm (Visitation time is 12:30-1). We are absolutely devastated by Tyrone’s passing and any donations towards the immediate family would be greatly appreciated.
My dad, Tyrone Taylor, was one of the kindest, coolest, hardworking and caring men known to man. He was born and raised in Manhattan, New York. He spent a significant amount of time in Albemarle, North Carolina where he graduated from Stanly High School. Tyrone worked in construction, welding, carpentry and mechanics. He also spent a great portion of his life driving for NJ Transit for the city of New Brunswick, New Jersey. My dad was a great father to his 5 kids and a mentor the their friends as well.
Growing up, Tyrone was into technology and was the guy his family could call on to make sure things were assembled correctly. He was a dancer and made sure to learn the choreography of all the latest dances. Tyrone was always learning new recipes from his grandmother which he mastered. In 2000, Tyrone met his wife Tameka Kelton- Taylor and they started their life together.
Tyrone was the best father and supported his 5 children in every way he could. He made sure to attend every football game, track meet, and wrestling match that we participated in. My dad's death was a complete surprise and we were not ready for it just yet. He meant the world to my brothers and me. He was deeply loved by his parents, Delores and James, his brothers Elliot, Jamar, and Karim, his sister Denise, Dawn and his loving children Davon Porter, Denise Porter, David Porter, Tyrone Taylor Jr, and Tyrie Taylor.
