Steve’s Cancer Journey

Steve was admitted to the hospital in March 2020 and diagnosed on April 1, 2020 with stage 4 colon cancer which has since spread to his liver, lungs and outside the kidney. He has faced 38 chemo treatments thus far and multiple surgeries including liver and bowel obstruction surgeries. He has endured radioembolization, a collapsed lung, a pulmonary embolism, ablation, and much much more. Despite all he is going through, he has organized fundraisers for families of those who lost someone to cancer, he has created many podcasts to inspire those fighting cancer, he has built a little library for his neighborhood, and the list goes on. Aside from the physical and mental toll cancer has put on Steve and Amy, the financial burden is ongoing. They are currently facing three weeks of radiation in NYC in which Amy will have to stay back in Rochester to work.
