Ty's Troops Take On Leukemia

Ty Andracke was a busy and active 6 year old boy riding his bike around the new neighborhood, playing basketball, taking swim lessons and about to start playing t-ball for the summer. He began to fatigue easily and get frequent headaches which eventually became severe and began to generally not feel well. On April 28, 2021, Ty Andracke was diagnosed with b-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) at the Children's Hospital of Peoria.

Eric and Traci decided to have Ty's treatments begin at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, TN under the guidance of Dr. Hirota Inaba and they were transported there within days of the diagnosis. Ty's initial treatments will take approximately 8 weeks in Memphis and will be ongoing in Memphis and the St. Jude affiliate in Peoria, IL for the next 2.5-3 years. Traci has taken a leave from work to stay with Ty in Memphis for now and Eric is traveling back and forth from Bloomington to Memphis frequently, which is about a 7 hour drive.

This fund is being set up for the Andracke family to assist with costs they will incur in providing him with treatments for the best chance of being cured of Leukemia and be able to grow up into a healthy, happy and active boy. They feel blessed by so much support and prayers from "Ty's Troop" and it has been helping them get through this tough time.
