Winter Shelters for Chicago's Ferals

Helloooo everyone! It's getting COLD and we need to do the needful: bang out as many insulated feral cat shelters as we can! As usual, we will have finished ones on hand in several locations throughout the city for pickup. We will be posting regular updates in Chicago Community Cats TNR Facebook as to the schedule and pick-up availability. Also as per usual we will be asking a suggested donation of $25 per shelter but you all know we end up giving most away to those in need. It's not cheap to build these things...the cost of the Foamular insulation skyrocketed during COVID and hasn't gotten much better. Then there is a mountain of duct tape, garbage bags, bales of straw and upkeep and new tools like saws and Sharpies and whatnot. Donate today and you'll actually be sponsoring one feral cat home per $25 donation. YES! One cold kitty will have a winter home all because of you and that is awesome. These shelter builds are a labor of love that Liz and I have been hosting for almost 12 years, often several times a year. We cannot overstate how much we appreciate your annual generosity.
