Tzedakah for Kassorla

TZEDAKAH....Among the Jewish people, this is the tradition of charitable giving..typically seen as a moral obligation...
I am raising money for the family of Rabbi Hayyim and Yael Kassorla. Rabbi Kassorla was the leader of the congregation Or Ve Shalom until recently. Having moved to Atlanta from New York with his wife and two sons, he brought a much needed infusion of energy and humor to an otherwise staid and rather stagnant congregation. Having been raised at Or Ve Shalom, I can attest that he was much needed, yet under-appreciated. He is approachable, a true man of God.. a humble man..a man of faith, community and love. His reach was far and wide in the community, in his ability to connect to those of us that had questions about our faith and the teaching of Torah. He made himself available to everyone that needed him. His family has suffered a terrible loss recently and his younger son Yoni, struggles with rheumatoid arthritis. He has been, so far, unsuccessful in finding a new home congregation due to the current pandemic and his family is suffering both emotionally and financially. So many of us owe this man a huge debt of gratitude...he needs OUR help now. Let's honor his commitment to his flock, by practicing the ancient tradition of Tzedakah with the Kassorla family in our hearts, minds and prayers...*** Also, if you know of any Jewish congregations that needs a REALLY great man to lead, or know of a position of teacher in his field, please don't hesitate to let us know. ****
