Help Us Save Badcock Road's Community Space
Donation protected
The much-loved community outdoor space in Badcock Road, which the village has enjoyed for over 40 years, has just been bought by a developer (3 sites in total) who plans to cut the trees down and try and build on every piece of land he has acquired. Leaving no green or community space for the children to play on.
The Badcock Road and Lilac End communities have come together to raise funds to buy this land from the developer before he starts clearing the site on ( Saturday, 11th Nov 2023). We have until Friday, 10th Nov, to raise the remaining funds to cover the solicitor and legal fees. The Parish has kindly donated some funds towards our target. However, we are still £5,000/£6,000 short.
If we can achieve the total amount we need, then this money will be donated to the Parish Council so they can acquire the land for us all to enjoy.
We have exhausted every option to save this land, and the community has rallied around to help.
We are now asking one very big ask of our lovely villagers to see if anyone would consider donating, no matter how small, to help us reach our final target.
If we cannot raise the funds required, any contributions from this GoFundMe account will go towards a community fund to support the village.
On behalf of Badcock Road and Lilac End, Thank you.
