Bob's Diabetes Medical Fund

Hello family and friend..this guy Robert De Kett better known as Bob, has always been a hard working dedicated man.  To always put others needs before himself. He is a welder,  race car mechanic, truck driver, Maintenace technician and father. Last week he was working and was not feeling well. Worked through almost a week of not feeling right.  Wound up going to the ER after work last Tuesday July 31 and had his first surgery Saturday August 4th only to be told Monday that today August 7th he needed reconstructive ankle surgery to correct a charcot ankle that comes from neuropathy, which comes from diabetes.  The decision was not something taken likely, it was fix it or amputate.  That comes both ways with a price.  He will be out of work almost a year.  He loses his health benefits and income within the next month.   He will apply for disability but that's a 6 month process waiting time and not a guarantee. He cannot continue to support himself and recover without some income to live and pay medical bills.  He's a well known man in the road racing industry of the TransAm TA series for over 25 years.  He has worked with several teams and has always been there for anyone giving them a lending hand. He's brought championships to  teams. He Recently left the job he loved to get his health on track, unfortunately a little too late. Moving to a better lifestyle and hoping he could get on top of the diabetes and ankle. However, God had a different plan for him. Diabetes is deadly and if you don't pay attention to your health, things fall in your lap when you least expect it.   This does not come as please donate but if you only read this and are inquired to read up on neuropathy, diabetes, or charcot ankle.  we've accomplished that, if  you know someone or have one of these illnesses.  Take your condition as serious as your one life you have.  You never know what tomorrow brings.   If you'd like to donate to his fund, or Bob has touched your life in some way any little amount can help.
