Caitlin’s fight!

Hi, my name is Lou & I’m asking for help for a young woman called Caitlin Stuart. Caitlin has had to fight all her life because of a condition she was born with that affects the efficiency of her kidneys. She only really has one & that went into failure. Her father donated a kidney when she was a toddler but a couple of years ago, that stopped working & we nearly lost her following complications with the replacement. She then received a kidney a while later that seemed to be working & finally, at 17 years old we hoped that Caitlin would be able to start living a normal life. Caitlin turned 18 and not long after, all hope was once again dashed as she was rushed into intensive care due to her body rejecting the kidney.

I can’t put into words just how strong this girl is, how she just takes it all in her stride & never moans about the fact she had to miss out on so much that we all just take for granted. She’s always smiling, gets on with all her treatments without moaning & not once have I seen an ounce of self pity. Caitlin is happiest when she is surrounded by her family or taking care of the many animals she looks after, neither of which she is able to do now. That coupled with agonising pain & having to be isolated from everyone for fear of infection is taking its toll.

We would love to raise some money for this courageous young woman so that we can organise an amazing experience for her as soon as she gets out of hospital. There are two reasons for this. 1. This girl just deserves to experience amazing things & 2. We need to make sure she has something to look forward to so that she doesn’t give up the fight. She has had to fight harder all her childhood than most of us will ever have to just to survive & the world is definitely a better place with her in it so please give if you can to let her know we are all behind her & let’s give her another reason to fight.
