BANDing together for BRET
Donation protected
Musician Bret Alexander was the principal songwriter with national recording artists The Badlees, one of the most beloved and successful bands to ever come from Northeastern Pennsylvania. He has also released a critically-acclaimed solo album and has written and recorded music with The Cellarbirds and Gentleman East. And as the owner and operator a Saturation Acres Recording Studio, he has produced music for hundreds of artists, including the debut EP of the Breaking Benjamin. In 2015, he was presented with the Lifetime Achievement Award by the Steamtown Music Awards, which are a part of The Electric City Music Conference.
Over the past 25 years, Bret has performed at dozens of benefit shows to help others.
Now, he can use our help!
Bret has a genetic kidney disorder that requires a kidney transplant. Fortunately, his cousin has agreed to be a donor and is a match and the transplant will be taking place in the near future. Unfortunately, the surgery will leave Bret laid up for a few months. As a self-employed musician and studio operator, if you are laid up, you can't work. And in addition to normal monthly bills, Bret will have the added burden of medical expenses.
This is where we - his friends and fans - come in! A benefit concert for Bret will also be taking place in Wilkes-Barre, but for those that can't make it to the show, or would like to make an additional donation, you can do it right here. Any amount you can donate will go directly helping Bret. Please donate anything you can to help a great musician and great friend!
Thank you for your generosity,
Friends of Bret
