Violet Strong

Dear friends and family of Violet Sanders, and the Gabel & Sanders families. As many of you know, our precious 7-year-old niece Violet, was diagnosed with Burkitt's Lymphoma a few weeks ago. Of course, this was something that no parent or family ever wanted or expected to hear. However, as all loving families do, we rally around those in need with love, support and prayers. Violet is strong (hence the fundraiser's title), as are Brad and Christine in their faith and resolve. We will beat this, but the road ahead will be long and expensive. Their doctors have devised and implemented a rigorous and aggressive treatment plan for Violet.

After spending two weeks at CHOP in Philadelphia while Violet was undergoing surgeries and initially being diagnosed. They have since traveled back and forth to CHOP in Philadelphia and King of Prussia for Violet's treatments and will continue to do so for the next six months. They must stay at CHOP for five consecutive days each time she receives her treatment. In order to accommodate this difficult schedule and ensure Violet gets everything she needs, Christine must take an unpaid leave from work, which adds an additional financial burden to this already complex and stressful situation.
