Lake Conroe Hills, Willis House Fire
Donation protected
An unexpected tragedy has struck members of our family. Their home in Willis, Texas caught fire on 08/04/2020 12:00 am while they slept. My thirty-one year old sister is a single mother with three children and our eight-teen year old cousin lived in the home off Ridgecrest Dr. in Lake Conroe Hills Subdivision. They were so excited to embark on a new life when they moved into this home in the first part of July this year. The house was a handy man special and was currently under construction to make the needed repairs so they could get homeowners insurance on it. Currently, there is not any insurance on the home. This event was broadcast on Local 2 Houston News as well as Montgomery County Reporters website. My sister suffered lacerations from getting her children out through a window. She was treated and they are all doing okay. Our eight-teen year old cousin, Mary, was trapped and suffered 2nd degree and 3rd degree burns covering 50% of her body and was unconscious when the firefighters pulled her out of the house. Fire fighters worked very hard to revive her and once successful air lifted her to Galveston Burn Center. Prayer warriors are greatly needed as she fights for her life. Firefighters also fought hard to revive the beloved therapy dog but were unsuccessful.
We were able to grab a couple items out of the front Master bedroom, which is the only room in the house that was not totally destroyed. Everything in the home was damaged and burned. A complete loss for this family and children. We are so thankful for the community response we have already began to see. Currently our main focus is getting the family safe and supply their basic necessities for the days to come and most importantly the recovery of our dear Mary. We have a great hope that with our communities help we can pull together and help rebuild this young mothers home for the family to return to safely. We are Truly Grateful for any time offered, Hands on help, Construction, Donations, Support, Love and Sharing that is involved on your part. We need our community of Texans more than ever. Please contact me if you have resources you can offer that will help this family rebuild their life from the ground up alongside us. With these individuals having lost everything, we are reaching for a goal of raising enough funds to rebuild the home as well as care for the foreseen future of recovery. You can be apart of making this happen if we all come together. We would like to start with a baby step goal of 10,000 dollars and once achieved we will celebrate each milestone and keep increasing the goal in the process of rebuilding a home for Aimee, Mary and kids they once had. We ask you to be apart of making this story have a happy ending. There is hope and we believe in the power of prayer and are fighting for one another together. With a heavy heart, Thank you Firefighters for your bravery going into danger risking your life to save another and everyone for all the expressed love, especially kindness the Willis area neighbors have shown our family.
