Sea Turtle Conservation

Thanks for getting here! I’m Tyler, and I have spent summer of the last 4 years working with a Sea Turtle conservation project in Greece, I have now been offered a position in Costa Rica this summer! Unfortunately, flights in peak season are more than my budget covers, especially as I won’t be earning a wage while there, nor at the charity I will be working with for 3 months prior. The species of sea turtles I will be working with are listed as critically endangered on the ICUN Red List, and my experience from Greece will be hugely beneficial to the project. Over the last few years I have worked with countless dead and injured turtles, some with some rather horrific injuries, and to have a chance to help more would mean the world to me. Please help me get to Costa Rica, even the smallest donation will help!

The work will involve spending all night on the beach with the nesting females, making sure the turtles nor the eggs are poached, and the nests are in a safe location, as well as spending time in community outreach and educational positions.
