Empowering Veterans

Source One Serenity’s mission is to empower veterans to reclaim their sense of purpose through outdoor activities and land stewardship. Since 2016, we have conducted recreational activities such as fly fishing, hiking, and land stewardship projects for more than 500 veterans. In 2017, our Board decided to expand its operations by building a social enterprise worm farm (dba HealTerra) to manufacture a natural fertilizer using food waste with the ultimate goal to generate the revenue needed to fund healing activities for veterans by selling vermicompost. Land stewardship benefits of the worm farm, including recycling organic materials and manufacturing a natural soil amendment, enhance the value of creating job opportunities for veterans and further Source One Serenity's mission.
