Carly’s Hospitalization Costs

As many of you may know, Carly has been on a rollercoaster of a health journey this past year struggling through a myriad of symptoms ranging from minor muscle weakness to extreme weight loss all the way to a random seizure that left her temporarily without eyesight. After a battery of tests doctors had no answers. During this process of seeking answers, it was discovered that many of these symptoms she was experiencing are listed as possible side effects of a daily lung medication prescribed by her doctor 5 months prior. Though she immediately began the process of detoxing from that drug, several more alarming conditions have surfaced, most concerning being chest pain, fluid surrounding her heart and one of her lungs, and an extremely high fever. She is currently hospitalized and undergoing more testing hoping for some sort of answers so doctors can guide her on a path to healing.

Carly has been to countless appointments and hospital visits over this last year, but this particular hospital visit is becoming financially straining for two reasons: 1, she had to be transported via ambulance from one hospital to another to remain monitored en route, & be able to receive specific care she needed, which will be a large additional cost for the Lounsberys. 2, her current hospital stay is unexpectedly turning into a several night stay, and will continue for at least another few days, which gets very expensive very quickly!

 

Her husband Jeremiah is doing what he can to support her and their 4 small children but as you can imagine this whole ordeal has been taxing on their single income family- both emotionally and financially. Everyone that knows and loves this family will tell you that Carly is the last person to deserve all that she has been going through. If you feel led to give any amount, it would help ease this tremendous burden and help Carly continue getting the care she needs as God continues to work in her life and her health.
