Support Marcy Currier's Brain Surgery Recovery

Donation protected
Friends and family, we need your help.  After experiencing a series of temporal lobe seizures, Marcy has been diagnosed with a glioma (brain tumor) and her doctors have determined surgery is the best course of action. The goal of the surgery, scheduled for the week of July 27th, at the Albany Medical Center, is to remove approximately 75-80% of the tumor, and treat what remains with radiation.

After Marcy is released, she will recover at home under the care of her mom, Jan, and son, Adrian.  The neurologists (and the cards) estimate it will take a minimum of three months for brain and body to heal.   During the recovery period, Marcy, Jan and Adrian will be out of work.

You won’t be surprised to hear that Marcy is handling all of this with a positive attitude, her trademark curiosity, and a realistic outlook as she faces the unknown.

We will continue to send good vibes, prayers, affirmations and visualizations for Marcy's recovery; we also know that the road ahead presents some distinct practical challenges.

With all of us on Marcy’s side, we will be able to make things easier on her immediate caregivers, and ensure she has the resources she needs to make a full recovery.

Our hope is to provide financial support to:

·      allow Jan and Adrian to focus on Marcy's recovery

·      pay for recommended procedures or devices not covered by health insurance

·      replace lost income to cover Marcy’s living expenses

·      cover additions or changes to the home to better support Marcy during recovery

Marcy as family, friend, colleague, performer, artist, and reader has touched so many from all walks of life. She has been dedicated in life and work to helping others find their truth, heal, and live in happiness. She is smart, kind, determined and strong. All of which will come in handy in the days, weeks and months ahead.

We love and support Marcy and her family. Please donate whatever you can as we all come together to help Marcy through this most challenging time.

One last thing… a note directly from Marcy (which you’ll find is SO Marcy): “The main thing I’m asking of you is for you to hold a picture of me in your mind, brilliant, vibrant, vital, strong— whatever combination of your favorite things about me that you like— and beam it my way.”

This fundraiser is being organized by a team of loving friends and family members including Jan, Becca, Katie, Jacquetta, Dale, David, and Skye.

TESTIMONIALS:

From Dale Mott:
Marcy is a gift whose light and wisdom has guided me to my best me. I’m happy to do a bit of re-gifting here:  My dear Marcy, sending you the light, love, and healing power you’ve so generously have shared with me over 8 years. Hey everyone out there, let’s please help our dear Marcy kick this tumor’s $&%#!!!

From Becca DeWitt:
Marcy has become like family to me over the six years I've known her. Her intuitive prowess, hilarious wit, playful spirit, creative brilliance, sharp intellect, and big loving heart (the list could go on!) are some of the qualities that make Marcy one of the most admired role models in my life. I don't think I could adequately describe how much she has changed my life for the better. Marcy has gotten to the foundation of my psyche and helped reorganize it piece by piece. She has been there for me through so many twists and turns. Every trouble I bring to her she turns into a gold nugget of truth. Getting to know her as a mother, business owner, kundalini yogi, healer, and artist has been such a gift to me, and I know that she is a gift to countless others. In short, Marcy rules!

From David Eaton:
Marcy has been one of the key pieces in my support system for over a decade now.  Her wisdom and insights have steered me towards love and truth.  Besides the many gifts she shares with the world, I've witnessed her as one of the strongest people I've ever met.  As a self-employed, single mother I've known Marcy to handle the hardships of life with grace, trust, and curiosity without ever abandoning her passion.  Part of this strength (and sometimes stubbornness) is that she rarely asks for help. Though the circumstances are harrowing, I'm grateful for the opportunity to show up for her the way she has showed up for so many people over the years.  Marcy Currier is a treasure, and let's rally together and support her family and that beautiful brain of hers.

From Gabe Pacheco:
I've known Marcy for over a decade and she has profoundly changed my life.  She's one of the most empathetic and vibrant people I know.  She's helped me gain greater insight into myself and has been a great cheerleader for my journey as I pursued my passions.  I've witnessed her help dozens of people gain insight into their lives, relationships, and the world.  So right now I'm asking you for money to help Marcy recover from brain surgery.  I'm asking this both as a way to help repay her for all of her contributions to humanity in the past, and also to help her regain her health so that she can continue serving the world in the years to come.

From Joey Cummings:
I have worked with Marcy for over twelve years across a myriad of challenges, both personal and professional.  Marcy offers immense passion, love and focus for my soul through this Covid time and other life events.  What she does is real and big, life saving and life changing. I consider myself a very lucky person to have met her and I am so grateful to have a someone (like Marcy) to watch over and under and around me.

From Zabrina Aleguire:
Working with Marcy has changed my life.  I know that's a cliche thing to say, and it's not something I say.  Ever.  Marcy truly has the gift of sight, and her ability to see and understand what is happening in an instant -- in my case, across the country from her -- is magical.  What makes her work transformative, though, is Marcy's deep wisdom.  When I have felt lost, hopeless, or despairing, Marcy's insights give me faith in life and humanity and the Universe again.

From Mom (Jan Roberta):
As her mom, I can say that Marcy is one of the strongest people I know, and I have witnessed her lifelong commitment to understanding herself and others.  She has spent years fearlessly working on herself, all while using her knowledge, energy and love to heal others and the world.  We need your financial support right now to get her through this “bump in the road “, and back to her healing life work. I love her and want her to make the best possible recovery with all her artistic and healing abilities intact!
