This Saturday, beloved father and member of the hockey community, Dave Correira passed away suddenly in a tragic car accident. Dave was a father of three kids including his 3 year old daughter. He was an amazing father who touched everyone’s lives in a positive way. For me, it was him cracking jokes after hockey games, or when he would play soccer with me, his oldest son Jacob, and my sister when we were little kids. Dave will be remembered for his gentile demeanor and the positive energy he carried and spread to those around him. While this is all still surreal, I know Dave will be missed dearly by all his family, friends, and the hockey community. He will always have a special place in our hearts reminding us of all the smiles and laughs he brought. During this difficult time, let’s come together as a community and support Dave’s family as much as we can. Thank you.
