In Loving Memory of Bridget Wallis

Donation protected
On behalf of Greenfield Senior Living, I am here to share one of our own Greenfield family members sudden but tragic medical journey and humbly ask for your help.  Bridget joined the greenfield family February 2013, as a Housekeeper.  Greenfield Reflections of Strasburg could not have found a better employee!  Bridget was very committed to her colleagues, residents and families, to take it a step further, Bridget took it upon herself to enroll in Greenfield’s Direct Care course so that she would be able to help her team out when additional support was needed.  Bridget’s heart was huge and she will be greatly missed by all that knew her/came in contact with her.

On May 3rd after working her scheduled shift, Bridget went home and started seizing, her daughter immediately called 911.  Bridget ended up having severe heart damage and her lungs filled up with fluid, she was put in ICU right away.  The hospital put Bridget on the ventilator once they were able to get her stable.  A little later the hospital did an MRI to see how things were looking, unfortunately she had brain damage/very little brain activity.  The family continued to be hopeful but things did not turn out the way they hoped for.  The family did get a 2nd opinion, again, hoping for the best/good news but unfortunately received the same unfortunate news.  On Mother’s Day (May 13th) the family decided to take Bridget off of life support, Bridget passed away the morning of May 14th.  Bridget is no longer suffering but many hearts are broken.

Bridget will not only be missed by her Greenfield family, she will also be truly missed by her six children (5 sons, 1 daughter) that she leaves behind.  Bridget was a very loving and dedicated mother.  Bridget loved doing anything that allowed her to spend time with her children, they often spent time at the pool and beach.  Bridget also loved spending quality time with her one and only daughter, she referred to those days as ‘mommy and me’ days.

We have created this account to help with funeral expense in hopes of giving Bridget the funeral service that she deserves (special) and to be able to help the family out financially in the days to come as Bridget leaves behind two children that are under age.

My sincerest thanks in advance for any help that you can provide.
