My Parents Lost Everything In A House Fire!
Donation protected
So my retired parents Chris & Kathy Gallops in Patterson Georgia were home last Thursday evening, when they heard an explosion at the back corner of their mobile home. My dad saw smoke/fire jumped out of his chair in only his boxers & yelled at my mom to get out of the house. My mom was in the back bedroom; she ran down the hallway grabbed her purse & her bible. They had no time to grab any clothes or essential items. My parents got out alive! My mom mentioned some of her hair was burned by the flames. There were five fire trucks at the scene, but it was too late. Nothing could be saved. My parents are the kindest, down to earth, most helpful people, you would ever meet. Mom teaches Sunday school, has volunteered at women's prison ministries, and also at the GAP House, for abused women / drug rehab. My parents have always tithed at church, giving from their small paychecks. Their church was kind enough to give $1,000. This event has been completely devastating. I thank God they are alive & some friends are aloowing them to stay at a 2br/2ba home for awhile. The insurance company is coming out tomorrow Apirl 21st, to asses the situation. I afraid that an old moible home is not worth much at all. Everything has gotten so evpensive nowadays. They will need to buy clothes, a bed, kichen items, everything! I want to thank the American Red Cross for helping my dad get some new medications & donating $500 at the scene of the fire. I want to thank the local neighbors for giving my parents some clothes, food, prayers, and donating $10 $20, every little bit helps. My parents Faith is stronger than ever before & they are in good spirits for now. I am going to help them find another mobile home, hopefully something nicer than what they had. They deserve so much more than what they had. Please pray for Chris & Kathy Gallops. I want thank each & everyone of you for donating $5, $10, $20 whatever you can afford & your heart tells you. I appreciate this more than you will ever know. Kevin Freel
