Honoring Lane's Courageous Journey

Our hearts are shattered. We lost our baby girl, Lane on Tuesday, June 25, 2024. After having a wonderful day with her on Monday filled with engagement, energy, hitting a new milestone, and receiving glowing feedback from her doctors at her appointments, our sweet girl did not wake up again the next day. This is just shy of her 2nd birthday.

This comes as a complete shock to our family and Lane's doctors, nurses, and therapists. She has a Dream Team of providers that have helped Lane reach new heights. Lane has been doing an astounding job with improvements on her journey to better overall health.

Our Baby Girl was the strongest person we've ever known. Born in this world and with an estimated 24 hours to live, Lane pushed through her sweet life proving many wrong. She was a fighter. She pushed and pushed to make it to the next level.

Lane left behind her mother and father, Alicia and Jamie who never doubted her, gave her every single resource she needed, learned how to take care of her without full duty nursing, and gave her the best quality of life that was possible. Her brother Levi, who showed her the world through his tablet. He searched on his maps and showed Lane all there is to see. And lastly she left behind her sister, Lily. Lane was Lily's pride and joy. Her room is filled with pictures, crafts, bracelets, toys and things Lily made for her. She spent so much time with her big sister, Lily who returned vacation to an empty room and crumbled.

In addition to this donation account, we ask for comfort and prayers. This is very hard to lay our baby to rest. Lane came into this world early...on her own terms, and left us early and on her own terms. We just wish we had more time to cherish with our sweet, beautiful, courageous little girl. Lane has grandparents and family members and loved ones that have been by her side and all suffering with us.

We appreciate the outpouring of love and support we have received throughout Lane's entire life and now end of life.
