Hello,
My name is Joshua Taylor. I am a 28 year old who has been dealing with an unknown blood clotting disorder for the past 12 years. I recently have been hospitalized due to Multiple blood clots in my right leg, side, and chest.
Currently several of my colateral vessels along my side have become clotted from my chest down to my groin. Surgery is an option that they are considering, however with my past history of bloot clots it poses as many dangers as possible solutions.
The doctors in my hometown of Charleston, WV are at a loss on the best course of action and medicine from this point and would like to send me to the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota for further and more detailed testing that isn't available near my home.
I am currently in the hospital now and will be transferred to the hospital in Minnesota later this week. Unfortunately, I do not have the funds to pay for this expense and am posting this Go Fund Me in hopes that it will be successful in getting me the treatment that I need. I ask my friends now for help and support. I understand many of you are unable to donate financially at this time. I ask though that you please keep me in your thoughts and prayers as well as share this post so that others may see it.
I hate to ask for assistance but am at a loss for a solution to get feeling better without this trip to the Mayo Clinic hospital.
Expenses I can think of currently include
Transport by ambulance. {due to my current clots the Dr do not want me traveling without trained medical professionals}
Gas and Hotel costs for my mom driving up with me.
Hospital costs from this past week as well as ones in Minnesota.
Transportation back to West Virginia. either by car or plane depending on how stable I am after any surgery etc.
Help with this month's car payment and insurance bills as I am looking at being out of work for at least a month.
