In loving memory of Michael Rodriguez

My name is Ashley Hernandez, I am the niece of Debbie Egipciaco and James Rodriguez, Michael’s parents.

During this extremely difficult time—we are sending prayers and love to our dearly departed, Michael Rodriguez, who has left our world the afternoon of July 11th, 2024.

We’re sure so many of you have special memories with Michael, as he had a way of touching everyone’s hearts individually. Life comes fast and in a blink of an eye it can all be changed. Keep Michael’s memory alive in every way you can, as his spirt will continue to live on with each and every one of us, for every new day to come.

Michael, you being uniquely yourself has changed our lives immensely. Thank you for the laughter you shared, making sure everyone surrounding you was being fed and taken care of, and most importantly the open but necessary conversations we’ve had surrounding your battle with mental health and how much you wanted to extend a hand to others who also struggle with addiction.

Your sudden absence has only intensified our need to extend our hands to those who are also in a similar situation. We will make sure we accomplish the set goal you had for yourself.

As we come to terms with this tragedy, we aim to honor Michael’s legacy in a meaningful way. We are establishing a fund to cover his funeral expenses, financially support his unborn baby girl, be a donation to drug addiction organizations in Michael’s name and to build a water well in Africa in his memory. This well organized by Natasha Convertino will provide safe and clean water to those in need, reflecting Michael’s spirit of giving and ensuring he continues to receive good deeds in his name.
