Help Us Recover From a Rental Scam

hi thank you for checking out our go fund me this GoFundMe was created as me and my boyfriend have been scammed by someone who posed to be a landlord to a place we are trying rent at he said we qualified and then we came to an agreement on deposit and monthly rent and we sent the money so we can be able to start moving , we signed a lease and then sent all the money needed , we moved in then after one week as we finally started settling in we come home to the real landlord and police here advising us we were scammed . the police officer and landlord were both amazing and very kind and understanding and we were able to come to an agreement with landlord to be able to rent here but as we are still out $3000 anything would be greatly appreciated as we are now trying to get back to normal after such financial loss .
