Chris tragically and suddenly passed away on Christmas Eve after spending a wonderful day with his family wrapping presents, playing games, and having a nice dinner. They enjoyed driving around looking at Christmas lights that evening. Chris suffered a sudden heart attack and, despite medical attention, passed quickly while surrounded by his family at about 8pm. He leaves behind his wife, Allyson, and 4 wonderful children, Joseph, Lizzy, Jay, and Nathan.
Chris was a man who served often and was there to help others in times of need without a second thought. He and Allyson have given of their time and their resources to many over the years. Chris was always quick to volunteer for Helping Hands (an organization for cleanup after natural disasters), and he volunteered his time working with the youth at church and offered help to many around him. He even spent part of the day on Christmas Eve checking his father’s pipes. I have personally been on the receiving end of their kindness and generosity, as have many others who have shared their stories over the last few weeks.
Now, it's our turn. As Allyson and their kids begin to navigate the road ahead, this is a chance to help them in honor of Chris. The best way to do that is financially, so that we can help life continue as stably and normally as possible for them after this heartbreaking change. Any little bit will help keep the kids in their regular extracurricular activities, help with college, help them stay in their home and cover medical expenses as Allyson transitions to providing monetarily for her family.
