The book WILDFLOWERS IN THE MEDIAN is based on the true life stories of Agnes Furey, her daughter Patricia, her grandson, Christopher, and a man named Leonard Scovens.
Though the tale is a tragic one, it has managed to touch many. The video goes into better detail, so it is suggested that you view it.
The book was eventually turned into a one act play. The goal of this online crowdfunder is to help with the cost of taking the cast of 9 people to the National Black Theatre Festival this coming August, in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
The funds will go to 9 hotel rooms to house the actors; 3 cars to travel them from Tallahassee, Fl., to Winston-Salem; insurance for car rentals; and gas.
