Derrick McDonald's Daughters Fund
Donation protected
Our Brother, Derrick V. McDonald made his transition into the ancestral realm on Friday, February 19, 2016. Derrick leaves behind a legacy as a student leader, entreprenuer and a Beloved Brother of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated.
His legacy also includes six intelligent, beautiful and loving daughters (all are pictured along with his loving mother). One is in college, three are in high school and the two youngest are toddlers.
We know that many Brothers and friends of Derrick wanted to attend the Celebration of Life held in San Antonio on February 26, 2016. Due to a variety of barriers some were not able to attend. Also, many mentioned that they wanted to contribute in some way to assist the family.
Therefore, his older brother Keri Hakim Kokayi (known affectionatley to many in the fraternity as Dante') and Derrick's line brothers (Perry, Omar, Eugene and Curllon) decided that we should develop an opportunity for Brothers to exercise this desire to contribute by setting up this fund for Derrick's daughters.
Our gift to his daughters will in no way fill the void left by their father having made his transition but it will let them know that their father has a Brotherhood and extended family that can offer support during their time of need. We thank you in advance for your contributions.
