Please help Hunter

My name is Amanda and my hound Hunter is having a poorly time of it this past week. I noticed a lump on his paw and we went to the vets, who agreed with me that it looked like a grass seed had gone into his body. After bathing it for a few days and anti-biotics, there is no sign of anything emerging and Hunter is now getting lethargic and not himself. After an emergency consultation with the vet this morning and going over my insurance documents, I've been told that a) he needs an MRI scan/ultrasound to find the grass seed and that b) my insurance level of cover will cover some of what is needed, but not all. If the grass seed is found, then he will need an operation to remove it, which goes further beyond my cover. If the grass seed is not removed, then it can cause significant problems (up to and including death, depending on where the seed migrates).
At the same time, I am self-employed and do not have the necessary funds to cover the costs over and above my level of insurance cover, and I am absolutely desperate to get Hunter better. So I am asking if you can help me at all (if you are in a position to help). Any little extra towards the amount will be so greatly appreciated.
Thank you.
