Help our neighbors rebuild their home

My neighbor and his wife suddenly lost everything in a flash flood...it only took 10 minutes to destroy ten years of living. His job is to take care of the building, so he was helping others when this happened.

No renter's insurance. This was a totally unexpected weather catastrophe in Astoria, NY.

He is not the only neighbor to have all of his stuff ruined. This is a truly heartbreaking situation.

You can see the refrigerator was toppled over, the furniture is floating. Everything is gone: computers, clothes, documents, shoes, etc. Many of this stuff is necessary for them to work from home.

They are staying at a hotel tonight until 6am when they will likely return to assess any further damage.
