Support Ms. Shova's Cancer Battle

My name is Heather and I'm raising funds for my neighbor, Archana, who grew up in Nepal. Last year, I met Archana's mom, Ms. Shova, who came from Nepal to visit her family in the United States. Ms. Shova spent weeks caring for her family, including her three grandchildren. She made the best fig-filled pastry desserts.

Sadly, when she returned to Nepal, Ms. Shova was diagnosed with uterine cancer. It was a shock to Archana, who also recently lost her mother-in-law to breast cancer. Ms. Shova and her husband traveled to India, where they hoped to find better healthcare than they could get at home. She met with doctors who gave her chemotherapy. Ms. Shova and her husband traveled back and forth from Nepal to India to complete the chemo, a tiring and expensive process. We had hope when Ms. Shova had another scan to see if her first round of chemo treatments worked, but we learned that her uterine cancer spread and most likely went into her bones.

Now Ms. Shova is undergoing a second round of chemotherapy in Nepal and India, where she doesn't have health insurance or the ability to pay for her chemo in installments. I ask for your financial support in any amount so that we can support Ms. Shova in her cancer treatments.
