Mainers Against White Supremacy- Community Fund
Donation protected
Do you want to fight against white supremacy in Maine.?
White supremacists are planning to build a training site here in Maine, with the alarming message of "making New England white again." These individuals have been actively protesting in our communities, putting marginalized groups in danger.
They targeted a black family, shouting "go home refugees," and directed racial slurs like the N-word towards a young black man. Amidst these concerning developments, Project Relief is stepping up to promote racial justice and mutual aid efforts to make a positive impact.
Your support is critical, especially given the presence of such harmful ideologies in Maine. By backing us, you enable the creation of training programs, community events, and the continuation of our mutual aid program, all aimed at raising awareness and fostering positive change. Project Relief's mutual aid fund has been a beacon of hope for our community members during their times of need. Your unwavering support has helped provide essential items like food, clothing, and shelter to those without homes. Additionally, low-income families have received assistance with groceries, coats, and other necessities, preventing evictions by pooling funds to cover overdue rent.
The funds collected will go towards:
- Educating local activists and community members on social justice and anti-racism work.
- Offering self-defense courses to marginalized communities.
- Conducting a "Know Your Rights" campaign tailored for immigrant and refugee communities.
We plan to employ one of our dedicated activist to lead this initiative. Given the significant time and effort involved, compensating Black activists for their dedication to racial justice work is crucial, especially considering the many hours they devote to this cause each day.
Unlike certain organizations, we rely solely on the compassion of individuals who share our vision. No matter the size, your contribution will make a difference. If you're unable to donate financially, please help us by spreading the word. With your support, we can continue providing essential aid, advocating for justice, and collectively building a brighter future. Thank you!
We invite anyone who would like to support our work become a monthly donor. ✊
