4/21/23 Team Andrew Update:
First a HUGE thank you to all who have graciously contributed to Andrew's GoFundMe page and have kept Andrew in their prayers. It has been one week since Andrew's accident. He is still hospitalized. Great news is he is up and walking! He was experiencing severe stomach pain where another CT scan was performed Thursday to see if there may have been some sort of blockage in his stomach. CT scan revealed no issues that would call for another emergency surgery.... YAY! Karleigh has been by his side every day keeping his spirits up and being the compassionate, nurturing woman that she is. She sends her love and thanks to everyone who has been sending their prayers for Andrew's recovery.
We are not aware of any hospital discharge date as he is still in serious condition. I will keep updates as we continue receiving news on his progress. Thank you all!

Hello. We are starting this GoFundMe on behalf of 23 year old Andrew McAbee, of Caldwell, Idaho. Andrew is my soon to be son-in-law and along with his family, we share his story.
On Friday April 14, 2023, Andrew and his brother Blake were involved in a horrific car accident in Marsing, Idaho. A bystander called 911 to where it was determined that Andrew's injuries were life threatening. Andrew was airlifted to a trauma center in Boise.
Thankfully, Andrew had his brother Blake with him. He is a factor to saving Andrew by lifting the vehicle off of Andrew, causing injuries to himself, all to save his brother.
Andrew has had two surgery's so far. He has contusions in his lungs, broken shoulder and collar bone, fractured tailbone and his liver has split in half.
The doctors are amazed he has survived this accident and is still hospitalized. Andrew has a long road to recovery. He will be out of work for awhile. They are without a vehicle to get him to and from hospital and doctor appointments after he is released from the hospital. And all of this right before his upcoming marriage to Karleigh this August 2023.
We are beyond grateful that Andrew survived. Our hope is to be able to raise funds that will assist him with his medical expenses including possible additional surgeries, physical therapy as well as his current hospital stay as well as funds to assist with car repair.
From Andrew's family and Karleigh's family, we appreciate any amount you are able to contribute. Please add Andrew to your prayers as well. We know Andrew has a guardian angel watching over him. We, Andrew and Karleigh's family, appreciate your love and support.
With love and gratitude,
Karen & Rick ( Karleigh's mom & step dad)
