Support Rebecca & Isaacs new reality

Sadly on the Wednesday, August 23rd 2023 our beloved friend Rebecca unexpectedly lost her life partner Bruce, father of their beautiful 6 year old son Isaac.

This is an extremely stressful and emotional time for her and as Bec is not one to ask for help, we have set up this fundraiser on her behalf, in the hope that we can help lighten some of the financial Burden she has now found herself under, adjusting to life as a single mother on one income.

Any donations will help with the every day living costs, mortgage, school payments, and car repayments etc as well as assisting in providing security and stability for Isaac in the months to come

I’ve thought and thought about what to write here to compel you to donate to my friend Rebecca.

Should I go the sympathy route? The old persuasive text? Ridiculous intro just to lure people in?

Nup. None of those fit this situation. This is something else. This is raw and heartbreaking and it just is.

It’s the story of Rebecca: daughter, sister, mother, partner, friend, animal-lover, support-worker.

Flower-picker, plant-grower, ocean-lover, love-lover. Hard-worker. Knowledge-seeker. Do-anything-and-everything-for-anyone-but-herself-er. Own-needs-aside-pusher.

Love-giver.

Sunshine-bringer.

Bright-side-looker.

Life-keeps-throwing-shit-at-her-but-she-somehow-continues-to-smile-er.

Persistent-seeker-of-beauty-and-hope.

Forever-forgiver.

Forever-giver.

Sufferer-of-loss.

Loss of hope. Loss of a loved one. Her life partner. Her son’s father.

Sorrow-carrier.

Pain-bearer.

Brave-face-putter.

Crap-out-of-her-son-lover.

Needs-to-GRIEVE-the-recent-DEATH-of-her-life-partner-but-is-now-single-income-earner-and-how-the-EFF-is-she-going-to-pay-the-bills-and-be-there-for-her-baby-boy-at-the-same-time-er.

Care-deserver.

Nurture-needer.

Frail. Beautiful. Worthy of love.

Worthy of feeling the kindness she has always bestowed on others. Worthy of being given. Worthy of receiving. Worthy of help. Worthy of looking after. Worthy of being able to be a mother at this crucial time, to her heartbroken son whom she fought so hard to have.

Please help Rebecca. If you met her you’d know. Everyone who has met her knows. KNOWS. That she’s someone who is straight-up good. Without a doubt. Not just ‘nice’. Pure goodness.
