Hello,
My name is Alissa. I have a really rare disorder called OMS, or Opsoclonus Myoclonus. (I'm one in 10 million) Basically it makes my eyes shift all over the place and makes my body jerk.
Over the years there has been a promising study on using ivig therapy. Basically they put healthy anti bodies from plasma donors into me. I have been approved for the therapy and with round one completed there is HUGE improvement!
I have to be off of work until we are sure that I will not fall or need another treatment, so that is where you come in. I hate asking for it but I need your help. Being out of work, (hoping I have a job when I get back) walking with a cane (which for a 33 year old is HOT!) but we can and will make this better. I will even be able to ride a bike again!!!!
So if you can spare one latte, or rent a movie instead of go out to one and donate the difference to my cause I would be ETERNALLY greatful!
