Help The Adams Family
Hi guys, my name is Mandy. I have started this gofundme on behalf of the Adams Family, who are going through a very tough time right now. Josh and Melanie Adams have been married for years, they live in Ocean Springs, MS. Both Josh and Melanie are in the industry of helping people, whether it may be the remodeling their house the way they have always dreamed, or being able to buy the house that they have always dreamed of. Josh and Melanie have a beautiful daughter, Autumn, who is a college student and lives in Starkville, MS. Long story short.... Melanie was diagnosed with Covid-19 on Saturday, August 7th, shortly after moving her daughter back to school. Josh, I believe was diagnosed on Monday, July 9th. Unfortunately, Autumn was diagnosed not long there after in Starkville, on Friday the 13th. Autumn is a diabetic, and the virus really puts her body at a large disposition.
Melanie and Josh both thought that they were starting to get better whenever things took a turn for the worst. Josh had to be taken to the hospital on Monday the 16th because he was unable to breathe, this was day 8 for him. Literally within a few hours, Melanie had to be taken by ambulance because she was very weak and knew something was wrong, unfortunately, there was a wait time of 10+ hours so she decided it was best to return home. Tuesday the 17th, Josh was unfortunately moved to the ICU. Melanie also was able to have someone come to her house to give her IV Fluids because of her severe dehydration. On Wednesday, the 18th, Melanie became very weak again and was taken to the hospital VIA ambulance where she was diagnosed with Pneumonia, given a steroid shot and sent home on oxygen. Autumn is still in Starkville fighting her own battle with Covid, but qualified and was able to receive the infusion on Thursday, the 19th. Also on Thursday, Melanie received the news that we did not want to hear, Josh was put on the ventilator.
Josh is still currently on the vent and at this point, they are unsure what the future holds for him, but they do know that there is a long road ahead to recovery for him. The doctors have also said that Melanie will be battling the symptoms of pneumonia for up to 4 weeks, keep in mind that she just now got over Covid. Also, Autumn is still dealing with her case of Covid in Starkville. As you can imagine, this is going to be financially draining, as both Josh and Melanie are independent contractors. Melanie has not slept in days because she is so worried about her family and on top of that, she is worried on how they are going to be able to get through this financially. The medical bills are already starting to pile up, and neither Melanie nor Josh are able to work right now, so there is no money coming in.
If anyone would like to contribute to their family to help alleviate some of this anxiety, fear and stress so that they can all focus on healing.... that would absolutely be so appreciated.
