Hi there, my name is Jessica Escamilla and I am 23yrs old.

Earlier this year a tumor was found on the left side of my thyroid, after a biopsy it was determined to be papillary thyroid carcinoma, so thyroid cancer.

Lucky it was found early, the cancer is currently not active and not spreading yet.

I have surgery on March 6th to remove my whole thyroid gland. There is a chance of the cancer coming back if only the tumor or only left side is removed.

The thyroid is an important organ in our body that helps regulate many body functions, but with the help of my endocrinologist and supplements I will have a pretty normal life.

This was something that I was definitely not prepared for, but fortunately I am in one the best cities to treat cancer.

Money raised will go to helping me cover hospital bills and after care, and is much appreciated.

Hola, mi nombre es Jessica Escamilla y tengo 23 años.

A principios de año se me encontró un nódulo en el lado izquierdo de la tiroides, al realizar una biopsia resultó ser un tumor con células cancerígenas, carcinoma papilar de tiroides para ser exacto.

Afortunadamente el tumor se encontró a tiempo y el cancer aún no está activo o propagándose.

Tendré cirugía el día 6 de marzo para remover por completo mi tiroides. Si solo se remueve el tumor o el lado izquierdo de la glándula, existe una posibilidad de que el cancer regrese.

La tiroides es un órgano importante que nos ayuda a regular muchas funciones de nuestro cuerpo, con ayuda de mi endocrinóloga y suplementos podré tener una vida normal.

Esto es algo que definitivamente no estaba preparada pero afortunadamente me encuentro en una de las mejores ciudades para tratar el cancer.

El dinero recaudado se destinará a ayudarme a cubrir gastos del hospital y cuidados posteriores a la operación. Muchísimas gracias de antemano.
