Help Launch WLPP-LP 102.9 FM!

The Maetreum of Cybele, Magna Mater was granted a construction permit by the FCC to build a Low-Power FM radio station - WLPP-LP 102.9- to serve it's community of Palenville and surrounding areas. We currently have all of the equpiment that we need to get on the air except for ONE thing: an Emergency Alert System Rebroadcaster. That costs $3000 and there is no way around it.
Your donation will pay for our rebroadcaster and be a vital part of making our station a reality! We beleive that Palenville needs it's own community station to bring the people locally relevant news and information as well as music and entertainment. Moreover, the community was hit hard in 2011 by Hurricane Irene. Should an emergency of that magnitude ever affect our community again, WLPP-LP will provide a lifeline to people in need because we have solar and wind power generating capabilties and can stay on the air during a widespread power outage.
