At Mapache, our mission is simple yet powerful: "From Trash to Treasure!" Based in Mbiko, Uganda, we're spearheading an innovative project that harnesses the power of the Black Soldier Fly (BSF) to revolutionise animal feed and organic waste management.

Why BSF Larvae?

BSF larvae are nature's superheroes when it comes to sustainable farming. These tiny, nutrient-dense powerhouses are packed with protein (32% - 42%) and 17 essential amino acids, making them an exceptional feed for chickens, pigs, goats, fish, and more. By feeding your animals BSF larvae, you're not just promoting their health and growth—you're also boosting their immune systems, reducing the need for antibiotics, and helping them ward off diseases naturally.

From Trash to Treasure

The beauty of BSF larvae farming lies in its simplicity and ecological impact. These larvae thrive on organic waste—waste that would otherwise end up in landfills, contributing to carbon and methane emissions. By feeding this waste to BSF larvae, we’re not only reducing our environmental footprint but also creating a high-quality, sustainable feed that’s good for the planet and your wallet.
