Hike for Healing

HI! It's Amanda and Kari here and we are excited to be hiking the Georgia section of the Appalachian trail. We are hiking to raise money for a local transitional housing for women who are recovering from drug and alcohol abuse, The Ruth House.

The House of R.U.T.H. is a safe and spiritual place that is designed to nurture and support women as they walk the road of recovery. We are a family. We love and encourage one another every step of the way because we can not do this alone. If you come to The R.U.T.H. House with a willingness to stay sober, your life will change in ways you never thought possible.

Recovery Under The Healer, Inc transitional housing program is a 9-12 month, highly structured residential recovery program for women seeking recovery from drugs and alcohol. R.U.T.H.’s program seeks to give women everything they need mentally and emotionally, economically, relationally, and spiritually so that they can rebuild their lives free from drugs and alcohol. We believe addiction is a disease of the mind and we seek to help residents develop healthy ways to live with their disease.

It is my dream, hope and prayer that R.U.T.H. will serve women in finding the way out of the bondage of addiction and into the life each one is called to live!

The money raised will be used to continue to grow the opportunities these woman have access to in many different ways that contribute to their spiritual, physical and emotional health. This money will also help with the daily running of the house as there are always many needs. Building another house next door is a possibility as growth continues and more opportunities come.
