Hope and Support for Seth
Donation protected
On August 21, 2015, Seth Thomas, daughter of Jason and Chelsie Thomas and sister of Jasmine (Grand Rapids, MI) was diagnosed with Atypical Teratoid Rhabdoid Tumor (ATRT).
ATRT is an extremely rare form of brain and spinal tumor that mainly affects children under the age of 3 years old, but often can occur in older children. There is no known cause of most pediatric tumors, but ATRT's make up only about 3 % of all newly diagnosed brain tumors with only about 100 new cases each year in the U.S.
Seth recently underwent surgery to remove a portion of the tumors, but most are in-operable. Chelsie and Jason, however are willing to do whatever it takes to make Seth comfortable and help prolong her life no matter what it takes.
Seth is now in the comfort of her own home, and will be undergoing radiation treatments and physical therapy 5 times a week. Her parents now will be responsible for the treatments and therapies, as the insurance company will not cover out-patient services.
Chelsie also will be on leave from work indefinitely unless Seth can make a recovery from this awful disease, which means they will now have only one income and will need financial support to pay housing/utility bills as well as medical bills.
Please consider a donation to help this family. A minimum of $5.00 is required, any amount will surely help. Thank you for your thoughts and prayers; and
