Drunk driver hits and handicaps US Veteran

Imagine what it would be like if you were heading off to work, doing everything correctly and then while driving another person felt safe driving after drinking 10 beers goes the wrong way on the interstate and hits you head on. This isn't just a thought for my family as this is exactly what happened to my husband on June 21st.
Let me introduce my family. There is only 3 of us, well 4 if you count the cat. Duane is the main bread winner working as an independent contractor for Uber and Lyft. He runs on average 50-60 hours a week. I am his wife of 20 years. I am mostly a stay at home wife but when needed I also drive for Uber and Lyft when our only vehicle is available to do so. Then there is our daughter Luna. She is 14 and is special needs. I spend most of my hours helping her and taking her to appointments. Luna loves arts, crafts, Pokémon and lately reading.
While Duane was working in downtown KCMO for Uber on Wednesday night at around 11:45 a very intoxicated man made a wrong turn and went the wrong way on i70 and ultimately hitting Duane head on. This resulted in a tear in his aeorta arch, fractured both hips, fractured 4 ribs, fractured his collar bone, fractured 4 vertebra, gave him a major concussion, and fractured his femur.
At this point he has had 2 surgeries one to fix his hips and the other to help with the femur and collar bone. Due to how bad his hips were fractured he is not able to put any weight on his legs for atleast 3 months making him wheel chair bound.
Due to all the issues around the accident the vehicle has not been released from police investigation which has made it so insurance has not been able to deem the vehicle totaled. I am currently driving a rental but unfortunately I am not able to work on either of the platforms that I normal work until I am able to get into another vehicle as rentals are not allowed.
This has put my family into such a financial bind. We are asking our friends and family and community to please help us. This accident was of no fault of my husband's as all he was trying to do was financially support our family but insteaded ended up in a very hard financial spot.
We plan on spending the money on taking care of my husband's needs while recuperating, our bills, and to help us get back on out feet. Thank you for any help or prayers that are sent our way.
