Help Our Mom Keep Her Home

Our mother Frances is a 73-year-old woman with a chronic kidney disease who has lived in her home for nearly 50 years. This is the only home she's ever had. She is currently facing foreclosure of her home due to being in arrears with her property tax debt. She has been a victim of a vicious cycle of predatory practices with regard to paying off her debt, and she is currently working with State Assemblywoman Taylor Darling, a real estate lawyer, and a reverse mortgage company to help stop the foreclosure. A reverse mortgage is the only way my mom can have a chance of staying in her home, and cover the over $100,000 in tax debt. At this time, we have been told at least $27,000 is needed for the reverse mortgage to go through, and my mother has exhausted her resources to pay legal fees and satisfy the other eligibility requirements for the reverse mortgage. The house is up for foreclosure auction on March 18, 2024. Will you please help our mother so that she won't be thrown out of her only home? No contribution is too big or too small. UPDATE 2/8/2024 - Per the loan officer we are working with, we can’t use GoFundMe funds for the closing, because of this, we have changed our goal to try to pay off her debt completely.
