Kaydens Cancer Journey

Dear Friends,

We are trying to raise some money for Kayden and his family. Kayden is one of two boys to Caitlin and Jarrod. It was quite a shock to Kayden’s beautiful family when the doctors first told them that Kayden has cancer. If anyone has met Kayden you would know he is a resilient, kind and happy little man with a spark for life.

His Mum, Caitlin, noticed something wrong with his left eye, so she booked an appointment with an eye specialist. After this appointment he was sent to another specialist who specialised with cancer of the eye. Long story short, in a few short days he was rushed into surgery and his left eye removed due to Retinoblastoma, an intraocular cancer of the eye.

Kayden is 4 years old and turns 5 in March. This year he was supposed to be starting big school. Instead of big school he will be starting 6 rounds of chemotherapy over a period of 5 months. During this time Kayden will be in and out of hospital, and will alap undergo further surgical procedures to ensure all the remaining cancer cells are removed.

Due to the length of Kayden’s treatment, Caitlin and her Mum will be needing to take some time off work for appointments. Because of this, there will be a large loss of income, thus putting a lot of financial burden on the whole family. Finances will become tight for everyday living, bills, and groceries. To try ease the financial pressure for this beautiful family, all funds will go to Caitlin for the above expenses in the hope for financial relief.
